Darren R. Graff, CPA, CVA, FCPA, is a Principal in the Accounting & Auditing Department of Tronconi Segarra & Associates LLP. A 1992 Summa Cum Laude graduate of Niagara University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Accounting, Darren began his career in public accounting at Price Waterhouse LLP (now PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP). In 1997, Darren became a Senior Manager at Tronconi Segarra & Associates LLP. In 2001, an ownership opportunity arose; and Darren became President of Phoenix Consulting Group, providing services to executive management teams of both large and small companies in the areas of forensic accounting, internal controls, business valuations, litigation support, and merger & acquisition due diligence. Darren acquired Ellis Group, Inc. in 2005, a company that provided services similar to those of Phoenix Consulting Group in addition to litigation, arbitration and mediation services to attorneys.

In October, 2007, Darren folded his practices into Tronconi Segarra & Associates and became a Principal with the Firm. He continues to build his multi-faceted practice, providing valuable services to attorneys and executive management teams who are seeking expertise in one or more of the following areas: forensic accounting and internal controls; business valuation services for public and private companies engaged in acquisition, divestiture or buyout activities; due diligence support and due diligence procedures; litigation support services for attorneys handling cases such as employee embezzlements, partnership dissolutions, shareholder disputes and insurance claims; buy/sell agreements; estate and gift tax planning; management planning; testing for impairment under SFAS No. 142; and strategic CFO initiatives.

 

In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant, Darren is also a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and a Forensic Certified Public Accountant (FCPA), licensed in the state of New York. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA), and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA), currently serving on the NACVA’s Standards Committee, having served formerly on the Exam Grading Committee.

 

Darren has presented to various membership organizations, including the NYSSCPA and Vistage, the National CEO Organization, as well as the State University of New York at Buffalo, the Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership (CEL), law firms, commercial lending groups and not-for-profit organizations.
