Mark A. Tronconi
Tax Partner

Mark A. Tronconi, CPA, MBA, is a Tax Partner and Chairman of the Firm's Tax Department. Mark graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo (“SUNY Buffalo”) in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and again in 1985 with Masters of Business Administration degrees in Accounting and Finance.  Prior to joining Tronconi Segarra & Associates in April 2000, Mark spent fifteen years with Ernst & Young LLP (“E&Y”).

Mark has significant experience in estate and financial planning, Subchapter S Corporations, and individual and trust taxation.  He also has extensive experience in providing tax compliance and consulting advice to closely-held companies, and has assisted clients in developing and implementing business succession plans, allowing for the continuation of the family business by the next generation while minimizing income and transfer taxes.  While with E&Y, Mark gained extensive experience in all areas of taxation, but with a primary focus on privately-held, middle market companies.  He also served in a leadership role in E&Y’s Estate and Financial Planning Practice.

Mark is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants ("AICPA"), the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants ("NYSSCPA"), the Estate Analysts of Western New York and the Western New York Planned Giving Consortium. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees for Bishop Timon - St. Jude High School.
