"Meet the Accountants" -- Another successful year.
Once again, Tronconi Segarra & Associates participated in "Meet the Accountants" nights held this month at several area colleges. These events represent an opportunity for college accounting majors to meet and learn more about the firms as well as what their needs and expectations are with regard to recruiting.
Tronconi Segarra & Associates uses these events to meet potential candidates for both its successful internship program as well as for future staff accountant positions. This is the first year that the NYS Education Department 150-hour rule is in effect. This means that several students that we met were in their fifth year of school, obtaining their MBA degree; and were interested in obtaining interviews for staff accountant positions upon graduation in May 2010. Other students that we met were in their junior year and, having two years to complete their undergraduate and MBA degrees, were interested in an internship at Tronconi Segarra & Associates in the Summer of 2010.
Tronconi Segarra & Associates has recruited over 95% of the students who participate in our internship program to begin their careers at our Firm. Since its inception several years ago, many have become successful members of our Management Team.
If you were unable to meet the members of the Tronconi Segarra & Associates "Meet the Accountants" team and wish to submit your resume for consideration in our internship program or as a first-year staff accountant candidate, please email your resume to our Human Resources Manager, Juliette Parisi, at jlp@tsacpa.com.
