David Werth to Present at IMA Tax Seminar

David E. Werth, JD, CPA, a Partner in the State and Local Tax practice of Tronconi Segarra & Associates LLP will be one of the featured speakers at the annual Tax Seminar sponored by the Niagara Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) on December 13, 2017 at the Four Points Sheraton at 7001 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY from 11:45am to 5:00pm. David will be providing a "Sales and Use Tax Update" on current tax issues affecting businesses across the U.S.

To reigster for this event, visit the Niagara Chapter Tax Seminar page on the IMA website. If you register before December 5th the cost is $85 for members and $100 for non-members. Otherwise, registration for the seminar will be $120.

Alicia Sears to Discuss Tax Credits & Incentives

Alicia Sears, CPA, Manager in the Tronconi Segarra & Associates Tax practice, will participate in a breakfast and panel discussion on tax credits and incentives as part of the November 16 Risk Management Association (RMA - Buffalo Chapter) meeting at The Buffalo Club. Specific topics that the panel is expected to cover include Excelsior Tax Credits, historic tax credits, new markets tax credits, Brownfield Tax Credits, and low-income-housing tax credits.

Tom Mazurek Presenting at 64th Annual Tax Institute

Thomas E. Mazurek, Jr., CPA, Principal in the State and Local Tax practice, is among the presenters at the 64th Annual Tax Institute on October 31 - November 1st, presented by the University at Buffalo School of Management, the NYSSCPA & the Erie Institute of Law.  Accounting and legal professionals from across the region traditionally attend this seminar and can receive continuing professional education credits for doing so.

Tom Mazurek Speaking at 2017 IPT Annual Conference

Thomas E. Mazurek, Jr., CPA, Principal in the State and Local Tax practice, was selected to speak at the Institute for Professionals in Taxation's (IPT) 41st Annual Tax Conference in Charlotte, North Carolina from July 9 - 12th.  IPT serves over 4,000 members and is the only professional organization that educates, certifies and establishes strict codes of conduct for state and local income, property and sales & use tax professionals who represent taxpayers.  Mr. Mazurek, a member of IPT's sales & use tax section since 1998, will be speaking about sales tax issues for constuction contractors, along with Ms. Lisa Campbell, a senior tax analyst at Hunter Douglas, Inc. in Pearl River, NY.  This is Mr. Mazurek's first time speaking at an IPT program.  More information about IPT and their education programs may be found at https://www.ipt.org/.
